Windy draw with Victorians

UCT 21 – 21 Victorians

Wednesday night was yet another classic Varsity weather game. In the first fourty the toss and howling wind helped the Ikeys camp in the Vics half who were struggeling to release the preassure. The game was one of a very high intensity and one of the fastest so far this season – a true advertisement for student rugby.

For UCT Andrew Martin had a great game at centre carvin though the Vics backline and scoring a great try. JP Koster was also full of running and part of a pack who’se real chance to prove themselves would only come in the second half. UCT scored three tries, all of which Matt Rosslee converted.

The second half had Vics play with the wind and UCT did well to retain possesion, keeping the ball close and grinding their way up the field again and again. The defense was solid, but Vics managed two tries from two mistakes, with the score being 21:14 to the homeside with 5 minutes to go. The Ikeys were determined to wind down the clock, but eventually the ball spilled out of a ruck and Vics ran in their final try in the corner. Their flyhalf converted from that tricky position and to make it 21 all.

UCT had deserved 4 points and the victory, but given the last second win over Vics away earlier in the season justice probably prevailed.

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced
but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet
without my permission. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being ripped off?
    I’d truly appreciate it.
