USSA 7’s REPORT

A well conditioned and prepared, UCT 7’s team did exceptionally well to make the Cup Semi Final in the  well organized recent USSA 7’s Rugby Tournament, held at the Nelson Mandela University Campus in George.

After cruising through the pool stages with the only stumble against the Pukke, an at that stage severely injury ravaged  side (only 8 available players) put up a courageous performance against their old Nemesis, Maties, in narrowly losing the Cup Semi final 7 – 17.  The Maties were the eventual Cup winners.

The road to the Semi’s was a particularly good one for UCT, who scored some great tries and played some great 7’s rugby.
