UCT want the win in Bloem

A win on Monday against FNB UFS-Shimlas will be just the tonic that coach, Kevin Foote, and his FNB Ikeys team are looking for.

The Ikeys have had a tough season that has seen them on the wrong end of a number of results that could have gone their way.

Last week in the Cape derby they were in the game for most of it but just ran out of steam towards the end which gave a dominant FNB Maties team the opportunity to run in a couple of tries and flatter themselves with a scoreline that could have been much closer.

The side from Cape Town have been able to play some great rugby this season but it has been patchy with the team conceeding points too easily at times and failing to close off games.

The squad for their fixture against UFS-Shimlas is very similar to the squad that lost to Maties with one change in the backline as Dylan Sage moves from the wing to outside-centre in place of David Ambunya which means that Richard Stewart comes onto the wing.

Josh Katzen is back at No. 8 in place of Bradley Bosman and Jason Klaasen comes into the starting XV for Ntsolo Setlaba on the blindside of the scrum.

Derek Asbun, the hard running American, had a great day on the flank against Maties and retains his place after proving to be a nuiscence to the men from Stellenbosch.

The Ikeys, who travel to Bloemfontein, are searching for that first win of the season but will be under a lot of pressure when they play a UFS-Shimlas side that costed past FNB NWU-Pukke last Monday.
