UCT tackle Villagers

The Ikeys will end off their tough first week of this years league competition against their old local darby foes Villagers RFC on the Green Mile on Saturday. Three games in seven days are a heavy ask for any club, but UCT are looking to make it two from three after Wednesday’s disappointing loss.

The Tigers have to bounce back from  their 20:39 loss to Victorians, which has been one of the biggest home defeats in recent years.

Openside flank specialist Luzuko Panya returns to the team to play Villagers, Tim Whitehead gets a start at center after two good games off the bench, as does flank Craig Kleu.

Powerhouse Pieter Engelbrecht moves to the wing and Don Armand will lock down in the engine room with captain Bodo Sieber to support the experienced front row of Fish Hove
and Herbie Mayosie who are both back in the starting side.

The 1st XV match kicks off at 4pm.

The other games to watch will be the Eagles who recovered well from their opening defeat to Durbell and will look to get points from old rivals Villagers 2nd and of course the Moss XV  who take on the famous Villagers fourth.
