This is how we roll – UCT Fans on the Green Mile
Kick off 18.45 on the Green Mile – the UCT rugby fields. It is the second last round robin match and the last home game of the Ikey Tigers. UCT are second in the log, on course for a home semi final, but a win today is absolutely crucial – so BE THERE and support the boys. This crunch match is NOT TELEVISED, but for those who really can’t make it, uctrfc.co.za will provide a live update again.
The Ikey Tigers have now made it four wins in a row and have climbed to second spot! Monte, the Tiger mascot will be in action with his crowd of cheerleaders and a couple of thousand Blue and White supporters to make it an EPIC varsity rugby afternoon!
The visiting Shimlas come off a emphatic 39:22 thrashing of Tukkies, last years semi finalists and the log leaders of the first three matches and are back in contention provided they get points today and in theit last fixture against TUT.
UCT have today’s game and then face the very solid Pukke team away next weekend. Pukke beat UCT in last year’s opener and also was their semi-final opposition, a game that was only decided in extra time.
Put on your Blue and White war paint! There will be fantastic prizes up for grabs for best supporters today and don’t forget the UCTRFC pub after the game. The official afterparty is again at WADDA. Join the event on facebook here
