UCT go down against strong Hammies

In a major disappointment, UCT lost their unbeaten record to a powerful Hammies side, going down 18 13.

I what was a very physcial affair, UCT were pipped via two tries to one. UCT unfortunately were not able to find much rhythym in their play as the Hammies big men put them under a lot of pressure. An early lost try opportunity proved costly as UCT battled to breach the defences of the opponents. Two penalties a piece cancelled each other out, but in the end the extra try proved the decider, cancelling out a beautifully worked try by Mark Winter. Well done to Ntsolo Setlaba for his man-of-the-match display and there is no doubt that UCT will bounce back from this as they pursue that grand prize of league winners.
