UCT face Bellville Tech
It is a challenging week for the UCT Ikey Tigers who will face Bellville Tech on Wednesday evening following their hard fought 24:24 draw against Belhar on Saturday.
UCT head coach Hannyani Shimange – who will incidentally celebrate his birthday on the field side of the Bellville Tech clash – has made a few changes to the team in order to rotate players in the three match week.
Brad Bosman gets a start at lock in place of evergreen Kyle Kriel who drops out of an otherwise unchanged pack. In the back division there are a number of changes and whole sale reshuffles with Dylan Frylin starting at scrumhalf and speedster Lihleli Xoli moving to fullback. Richard Steward ramps up the experience on the wing.
The bench has spirited veteran Andre Coetzer, as well as Dilyn Leyds included – the latter is just back from WP duty follopwing an important win vs the Pampas XV.
The team is captained by former UCT U20 skipper Josh Katzen.
The wet and muddy conditions will reveal the character and test the slow ball managementand tactical skills of both sides – get out your trusty gumboots and rain jackets and head up to support!
