UCT A win at Craven stadium

UCT A took on their Maties counterparts last night in Coetzenberg which still had the Maties Varsity Cup victory memories echoing from the stands and beat a quality Maties A outfit 28:14.

The UCT team which is coached by Anthony Fenton Wells and Phil Venter were full of running against the Maties who had just recently dominated the Cape Town Tens, but then went down to Villagers 1st team by a similar scoreline.

Maties fielded a lot of their seasoned campaigners among them former VC captain Bennie Booysen, but the UCT team had too much firepower on the day.

This certainly is great news regarding the depth in the club and of course a boost ahead of the up and coming league campaign.
