Tigers to Take On Tygerberg

The Ikey Tigers are all set to take on Tygerberg on Friday at 9.00pm on the Green Mile. Coming fresh off a 17-13 win against Durbell last weekend, the boys will be looking to extend their series of home-game wins.

When the two sides last met in April, UCT picked up an impressive 38-3 victory, scoring five tries in the process. Strong performances were given by Richard Steward and Ross Jones Davies, both of whom are in the line-up tonight. The Tigers will be hoping not to have a repeat of last years’ 3-6 loss to Tygerberg, but will rather be looking to round-up their WP Super League season will a series of wins in the next three games.

Tygerberg’s last game, resulted in a 24-53 loss against the Hamiltons, but the team is still a contender for a possible Community Cup wild card spot to represent WP in the national tournament and will be fired up. 

It will be an intese catfight when the Tigers take on the Tygers – our 2nd, 3rds and U20's are also in action ahead of the 9pm kick off.
