Tigers take on Tygerberg

UCT take on Tygerberg RFC today at Florida Park on Saturday. The Ikey Tigers will be playing their fifth game in 14 days – a gruelling schedule at any level.

The team will only be finalised on Saturday morning. Team biokinetisist Tiaan Campher confirmed, "For the captain's run we have three or four names down for a number of positions as we need to see how guys go with their fitness and niggles." 

No serious injuries were recorded, so UCT are expected to field a strong side. 

The match between Ikeys Tigers and the Tygerberg Tiere of course – is always evokes the memory of big lock Immanuel MacKenzie an Intervarsity winner and WP player, who played for both clubs and tragically passed away in 2006 – though this fixtures is not the official Tiger Cup memorial match.
