Tigers bounce back against Belhar
The Ikeys Tigers produced a great afternoon of running rugby on the Green Mile beating Belhar by 53:19.
The defending champions had too much fire power for the visitors, running in a brace of well worked tries in their third match of the week. The students pulled away early and scored seven tries to two, wrapping up the bonus point in the 35th minute, leading 39-5 at half-time.
Burly tighthead prop Chris Heiberg who is back in strong running form following an 18 months injury lay off scored two tries, with flyhalf Nick Holton kicking four conversions and three penalties.
UCT have now played three games, winning two and losing one, and will next face Villager's at Brookeside on Wednesday evening (kick-off 9pm).
Villagers have had a tough start to the league with heavy losses against both Hamiltons and Maties.
