The FNB UCT Ikey Tigers beat Sir Lowrians by 33:26 to continue their unbeaten, bonus point run following the break.
The team travelled to Sir Lowry's Pass Village to face the 10th placed Sir Lowrians, a proud and plucky side, expected to be up against their more prominent opponents.
At the tail end of two demanding English weeks, the trip was not an easy task for the team who now have a bit of a break until they meet False Bay in a mighty clash on September 5th.
The Ikeys scored five tries with the strong center pairing of Huw Jones and Lihleli Xoli, as well as the half back combination of Dylon Frylinck, Dylan Tidbury dotting down once each. Lock Jade Kriel scored the fifth try, while Frylink added four conversions for a 33 point bonus point total.
The team have won all their matches this half of the season with bonus points and are in good shape ahead of the World University Rugby Cup to be played in Oxford later in September.
UCT next meet False Bay away in the final round robin match and look set to be in the top four, to challenge in a semi final in the re-structured league set up.
