TEAMS FOUGHT HARD FOR TOP SPOT HONOURS
The Steinhoff Nadoes regain TOP SPOT after Steinhoff Cobras 60 min stint as Log Leaders.
The Steinhoff Cobras played the first match of the Wednesday fixtures against an underperforming Steinhoff CATS team. Steinhoff Cobras took an early lead with charismatic captain, Callan Artus pulling the strings. The hard running loosie was the driving force in the team’s serge for top spot honours as they eventually smashed Steinhoff Cats 45 – 00.
Steinhoff Nadoes against Steinhoff Wildboys was the next match; any slip up could see them loose their top spot to Steinhoff Cobras. Steinhoff Nadoes started off well but didn’t have everything going their way during the first half as Steinhoff Wildboys held Steinhoff Nadoes for quite some time in the first half. The Steinhoff Wildboys put up a brave fight but Nadoes however managed to get a four try victory over the Wildboys with a 28 – 14 win, with this reclaiming top spot honours in the A-League.
In other matches; Steinhoff Knights held their nerve to see off a Steinhoff Ubumbo in a must win clash. Steinhoff Smuts showed how dominant they could be as they held of a helpless Steinhoff Marquard team. Steinhoff Health Sciences go down to a Steinhoff Viking team that showed great urgency late in the second half to claim the match.
