Steinhoff Oppierif defeat Steinhoff Tornadoes 34-13 for their first win of the season

In a tight encounter between Steinhoff Tornadoes and Steinhoff Oppierif it was the home side who edged out a 34-13 victory over the Cape visitors at Rand Stadium on Monday night.

It was an evenly balanced affair in the first half, as each side exchanged tries early on and going into the break the scores were at 16-13 in favour of Steinhoff Oppierif.

But the second half was a turnaround. Steinhoff came out firing on all cylinders. Three unanswered tries ensured a 34-13 victory as Steinhoff Tornadoes couldn’t breach the Steinhoff Oppierif defence.

The match ended a minute before full time due to a power failure at Rand Stadium, but by then the result had been cemented, Steinhoff Oppierif just too strong for the Steinhoff Tornadoes. The full time score 34-13.
