RIVALRY ALIVE ON BONUS POINT FEST EVENING

If you were sitting at home, then you surely missed out on some sensational rugby last night.

The matches that got the evening going was that between Steinhoff Health Sciences and Steinhoff Turtles; Steinhoff Smuts and Steinhoff Leo Marquard. Both matches were serious tight affairs with penalties being the deciding factor on the victor on the evening. There was a single point difference in the Steinhoff Turtle and Steinhoff Health Sciences match as both teams kept each other in check. In the second match there was a 6 point different with Steinhoff Smuts picking up the win and Steinhoff Marquard snatching up a hard fought bonus point.

The Steinhoff Knights had to dig deep for their win over the Steinhoff Cats, the only points coming from a solitary penalty.

The match of the evening was the one between the Steinhoff Cobras and the Steinhoff Nadoes. This rivalry has been going on for years and it doesn’t look as it will end any time soon. Both teams had some solid players out on the park but the victory would go to the one wanting it more. The match was like an ever swinging pendulum. The Steinhoff Nadoes would take the lead to have Cobras minutes later taking the lead. This went on throughout the whole match. With seconds to go the Cobras where in front and a turnover ball from the Steinhoff Nadoes saw them launch an attack in the Cobras 22. The relentless pressure of the Nadoes eventually got them over the Cobras White wash for the win and the 4 try points point to top it off.
