Richards skippers Cambridge in Varsity Clash

Former Ikeys fullback James Richards captained the Cambridge University team for the famous Varsity Match at Twickenham. Last year, light blues had beaten Oxford 31-27, this year however it was not meant to be, as the Dark Blues claimed another win for their record books.

Cambridge lost to rivals Oxford University 21-10 and the dark blues went on to win the 129th Nomura Varsity Match at Twickenham. Cambridge failed to recover from conceding two first-half tries by Oxford backs Alex Cheesman and James Crozier. Fly-half Charlie Marr then scored three penalties and a conversion as Oxford cruised to victory.
