Nurturing Great Rugby Players & Great Academics

Written by Jonny Biderman-Pam

We are incredibly proud to congratulate several Ikeys who have all been recognised for their academic success in UCT’s most recent graduation ceremony. With a very busy academic, training and fixture schedule, it is truly inspiring to see what these gentlemen have achieved.

The success of these young men is also a testament to the Ikeys coaches and management team, for upholding the values of the Club within a culture of Varsity rugby that is becoming increasingly focused on creating professional sportsman, as well as successful academics.

Oxford tour 2015, where UCT won the inaugural World University Championship. I was one of the younger guys on tour (in 2nd year) and it was my first real taste of what UCT rugby really was all about in the senior side. It was a tour filled with special memories I’ll always be grateful for.
