NMMU Madibaz edge Ikeys at USSA

Varsity Cup semi finalists FNB NMMU Madibaz edged the young FNB Ikeys team 6:0 in a tight and tryless encounter at TUT earlier today. 

UCT are competing in the annual USSA Rugby week, which is held at FNB TUT in Pretoria. 

The teams played on the TUT C fields in sunny conditions and neither UCT nor NMMU gave an inch in an attempt to salvage some pride after their opening round losses to Pukke and Maties respectively. 

In the end, two penalties were the difference in a tight 6:0 contest. 

UCT now have one final match to play in a demanding week that included a few injuries following the day one match up.
