Monte Taljaard Bursary
FNB UCT RFC are honouring Monte Taljaard with the establishment of the Monte Taljaard Bursary.
It is proposed that this bursary will be awarded to a student who has been accepted to study at UCT and who intends playing rugby for UCT. Sydney Taljaard, Monte’s dad, will chair the board of trustees of this bursary. The initial trustees supporting Sydney Taljaard will be Dave and Mike Ledwidge, John Dobson, Iain Burns and Dugald Macdonald.
In order to launch the Monte Taljaard bursary a target of between R150 000 and R250 000 of capital needs to be raised. This will enable an annual bursary of between R10 000 to R15 000 to be awarded.
It is proposed that all donations, regardless of amounts, will be recorded as founding donors to the establishment of this bursary in honour of Monte.
Please send all donations to the account detailed below at Personal Trust, who will administer the Trust on behalf of UCTRFC. Please note that all donations are tax deductable under Section 18A up to 10% of the donor’s taxable income.
