Ikeys to host Hamiltons

UCT will take on old rivals Hamilton at the Green Mile on Saturday and will look to build on their good start to the second half of the season following their comprehensive win against False Bay.

Hamiltons are currently ahead of UCT in the log with two games in hand and the second half match up brings back memories of last season, when the Ikeys beat Hamiltons by 25:23 with a last second try by Marcel Brache to stay in the hunt for league honours.

Up front hooker Gareth Topkin replaces Timothy Louw who moves to the bench. The backline that was so dangerous against the Bay is unchanged, apart from youngster Dylan Frylink who gets a start at scrumhalf with Steve Wallace providing cover on the bench.

WP lock Hilton Lobberts who came on as a replacement last week, is out of action after fracturing his hand – we hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Matches start 13.25 with the first team taking the field at 16.00. See you at Varsity and remember to book for the Black Tie Dinner today.
