Ikeys team vs Pukke

UCT coaches John Dobson and Robbie Fleck have gone with proven combinations, announcing their side to take on Pukke in the Varsity Cup semi-final played Monday 31st at 2.30pm on the Green Mile. A sell-out crowd is expected for this North-South clash, which UCT will tackle in the well deserved but unfamiliar role of favourites, after dominating the competition so far.

Incidently though, Pukke are the only team the Ikeys have lost to 17:23 – in
their first match of the competition on the Green Mile and in
their last two games the men from Potchefstroom have impressed with
big wins against NMMU and UJ, so it will most certainly be a nailbiter.

For UCT young flank Mzoi Simani gets a start and will be full of running. All of UCT’s star performers will take the field, including hard working prop Herbie Mayosi, tactical ace scrum-half Danie van der Merwe and exciting centre stalward James Martin. The competition’s top two try scorers, Marcelo Sampson and Matthew Turner will be looking to up their impressive tally of six tries each and the Pukke defense will certainly have their hands full preventing them.

1 Herbert Mayosi 2 JP Koster,
3 Dylan Rogers, 4 Michael Ledwidge, 5 Martin Muller, 6 Enoch Panya, 7 Mzoi Simani, 8 Jonathan
Gagiano (C), 9 Danie van der Merwe, 10 Matthew Rosslee, 11 Marcello Sampson; 12 Pieter Engelbrecht,
13 James Martin, 14 Matthew Turner, 15 Peter Haw;

Replacements: Mark Goosen,
Wesley Chetty, Dane Galley, Kyle Brown, Kyle Wickins, Tim Whitehead,
Sean van Tonder

    Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?

    I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. But think of if you added some great pictures or video
    clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images
    and videos, this site could certainly be one of
    the greatest in its niche. Excellent blog!
