Last week the inaugural Varsity Cup exploded onto the SA Rugby scene, with some sizzling Rugby and a spirited performance of the Ikey Tigers, which saw them go down narrowly to reigning Super Bowl champs Pukke (17:23).

Next up for the Ikeys are Tukkies – The University of Pretoria – who themselves had a great comeback to draw 31-all with UCT archrivals
Maties in Stellenbosch in their opening match.

It promises to be a fast and all out rugby affair and UCT being the underdogs again, will be keen to take their chances this time – Monday night is BLUE WHITE and TIGHT.

It is already the last home game for the Ikey Tigers on the varsity
fields aka "The Green Mile", so make sure you don’t miss out.

BLUE, WHITE and TIGHT is the order of the day – dress the part.

There will be giveaways for the loudest and best dressed supporters, as well as a scooter parade at halftime. Make sure the Tigers get the support they deserve and lets hear the UUUUU, the UUUU the UCT! The Pub will be open after the match, always a great atmosphere and opportunity to meet the players.

The team has a couple of changes to last week, new Ikey Pieter Engelbrecht is back from Vodacom Cup duty and will be looking to make a strong impression on his varsity debut. Also UCT’s "Most improved player of 2007" Rob Hopwood, varsity’s very own Seabiscuit is back and will be on dangerous form on the wing.
