Ikey Tigers qualify for league quarter finals

The Ikey Tigers finished the round robin of the WP league 2022 in third place following an entertaining 38-17 win over Tygerberg with the final fixture. Chasing an extremely tight leadership group in the log, UCT had only lost two fixtures this season, with narrow misses against Union Milnerton and False Bay.

The Ikeys had aimed for a top 2 finish, but with Durbell picking up 5 points against Maties in the final round, UCT end third – tied on points – on the SLA log and thus play Hamiltons next week in the quarter-finals.
