Ikey Tigers and Vics in tough draw

FNB UCT and Victorians played to a 15-15 draw in a tough WP Super League encounter at the Green Mile on Wednesday evening.

The Ikeys managed two tries – through wing Nathan Nel and new SA U20 cap Dillyn Leyds – but conditions were never going to allow an expansive approach from the home side and defending champions.

Whilst a draw is never ideal, it did mean two log points for the Ikeys who have moved into first place on the Super League – albeit having two games in hand over the Maties who are in second place and just a point behind.

UCT have now won three matches, lost one and drawn one from their opening five encounters. Their next clash is against Hamilton's – away – next Wednesday; always a tough fixture.

The UCT Eagles went down narrowly 8-11 while the 3rd team, the Ish Dramat 'Wolves' were out gunned by 10:37.
