Commins scores in Northampton reserves debut
Stu Commins (pictured left), who joined Northampton earlier this year, made his debut for the East Midlands club in a second-team fixture on Monday night – even scoring a try to mark the occasion report his agents at in-site.co.za.
The former WP Under-21 scrumhalf scored his team’s opening try at Welford Road, but was unable to prevent the Wanderers from going down 29-50 to their neighbours, Leicester Tigers.
But Stu impressed on the night and after a mad dash back to South Africa last week – to write some exams – looks set to push for a first-team place at Northampton in the near future, with the 2010/11 Aviva Premiership already underway in England.
