Cobras with semi chance
The Steinhoff Cobras have been hard at work on the training ground this past week, as they still have a slight chance of reaching the semifinals of the 2012 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championship.
The Cobras collected a losing bonus point against UJ’s Bastion two weeks ago and they can only build from there as they almost came from behind to beat their opponents in Johannesburg.
They will now meet NMMU’s Oppidani (on Monday, February 27) but an away fixture is always tricky if you are desperate for vital points. If the Cobras beat the Madibaz Koshuis side they could set themselves up for an interesting final match come Monday, March 5 against defending champions, Steinhoff Patria (from Pukke).
The Steinhoff Cobras have their fate in their own hands – starting with this coming Monday’s trip to Port Elizabeth. Let’s see if they are up to the task!
Kick off is tonight at 7pm – following the Ikey Tigers vs NMMU game.
