COBRAS CHAMPIONS YET AGAIN
The Steinhoff Cobras were crown 2013 Steinhoff UCT Internal League Champions.
It was the moment both teams looked forward to and the display of rugby proved it. Steinhoff Nadoes where out of the blocks first as they scored as early as the 7 minute. Then everything seemed to go wrong and the Steinhoff Cobras picked up on the mistake and took full advantage.
The Cobras score twice in the first half and went into the break with a 11 point deficit at half time. The Nadoes where still in with a chance. The Cobras however made sure it was a mere chance as they soon took their try telly to 3 straight after the break.
The Nadoes with their never say die attitude pulled one back as their best player on the park West Mackintosh forced his way over the try line.
This however was not enough, as the Cobras kept plugging away at the Nadoes mistakes. Winning penalty after penalty and making sure the score board kept ticking.
The Cobras eventually won the match 24 -12.
The Res- League was won by Steinhoff Turtles. The Turtles had an early scared as Steinhoff Smuts drew first blood. That however did detour the Turtles from their mission.
They came out all guns blaizing and scored two quick tries, which was enough to win them the trophy.
