Armand in first start for Stormers

Don Armand
UCT Ikey Tigers loose forward Don Armand will start for the first time for the Stormers, when the Cape Town side take on the Lions this weekend.

Armand, one of the Most Valuable Players at UCT in recent years, has moved up the ranks following strong performances in the WP side that won the Vodacom Cup under the guidance of John Dobson.

He has played four Super matches for the Stormers off the bench and will get his well deserved starting break when he lines up next to fellow Ikey Siya Kolisi who has been shifted to 8th man.

While fellow back-rower and recent Stormers debutant Nick Fenton Wells has arrived at Saracens, hard working Don Armand is here to stay, having recently signed an 18 months contract with WP Rugby.

"Cape Town is my home and I am very stoked that I am part of the WP plans going forward" said the Zimbabwe born flank who captained UCT in the second half of the successful 2011 season.
