The DHL Stormers will brave the heat in Wellington on Saturday 21st when they tackle Boland with their best young prospects.
The first match of the season will be more than just a warm-up thanks to the crippling heat that has hampered the Stormers at training all week, with a hot affair expected in Wellington on Saturday.
Several top Springboks have been spared from the trip with the emphasis being on new combinations and an opportunity for the young guns to stake their claim in the team.
A total of seven Ikeys are in the mix for the Stormers and will be looking to make their mark in the Boland heat. Meanwhile the Ikey Tigers will test SA U20 in their toughest pre-season encounter at 16.30 at UCT’s green mile on the same day.
